october 1: katelyn

Editing these photos of Katelyn was a ton of fun — we took photos on campus and at the Oklahoma State Fair a few weeks ago and had a blast. The colorful fair backdrop works so wonderfully with Katelyn's personality, too.

Katelyn and I met working at the OU Daily, where she taught me a bunch about design. Now, she's all grown up and graduated! Here's to you, Katelyn! Hope you love these photos as much as I do.

I was so happy that Emma asked me to shoot her senior photos — she and I met the summer she worked as a photographer at The Daily when I was helping out with social media and (re)taking calculus. Now, Emma's about to graduate with a degree in public relations, and I'm so excited to see where life takes her in this next chapter.

We took these Tuesday on campus, and we had the most beautiful weather and light! I'm so delighted at how these came out, I don't even mind blogging them past midnight.

Emma, I hope you love these photos as much as I do!

april 22: page & andrew

Time for my annual post to this blog — seriously, it's been once a year since 2015. So excited to use this momentous occasion to share these senior photos I took for Andrew and Page, two excellent human beings I've been friends with for a long time.

I met Page and Andrew working at The Daily (which is, coincidentally, where I make 97 percent of my friends) and we've been friends since then. After graduation, they're both heading to Indianapolis for internships — Andrew at the Indy Star and Page at a PR agency called Dittoe. So excited to see where these two end up.

We took these around OU's campus, making our final photo stop in the newsroom (of course). Special thanks to Winston, Andrew's dog, for being the most beautiful dog in the world, and to Jesse, who is not pictured but did a lot of dog-wrangling behind-the-scenes.

Hope you love these photos as much as I do, guys.

may 27: kyra

Happy graduation day, Consol class of 2016! I'm blogging this from the DFW airport, trying to get home for my sister Erica's graduation. I was home in College Station last week before heading to Tulsa for the summer, and I squeezed in a senior session with Kyra.

Kyra was a lot of fun to shoot — she's a super bubbly almost-grad who's headed to Texas A&M in the fall. Good luck, Kyra! Hope you like these photos as much as I do.

I second-shot Katie and Michael's wedding with Eva Araujo, and it was a blast. Katie and Michael have such big hearts and a lot of love for each other, and I'm so glad I could help document some of their special day.

This was my first time second-shooting, and I learned a bunch from Eva. I spent most of the pre-ceremony time with the groomsmen -- they were a ton of fun to be around. Here are my favorite photos from the big day.

Check out Eva's photos here, too!

Thanks Katie, Michael, and Eva. It was wonderful to work with all of you!

may 9: gabby

So, I'm way late on blogging these photos, but I am in love with Gabby's session. Gabby was one of the copy chiefs this semester at The Oklahoma Daily, OU's student newspaper. She's brilliant, she's beautiful, and she brings her dog to work with her, so what's not to like?

Her boyfriend Travis (and their dogs Susie and Peanut!) joined us for photos, so between the five of us, we had a great time. Here are some of my favorites from her shoot.

april 4: kelly

Meet Kelly. She's a senior at Consol this year, and she'll be studying at Texas A&M next year. We had a nice, cloudy day for photos, and we had just wrapped up the session when it started pouring rain, so I'm going to say that all the timing was just meant to be.

Kelly, I had a great time getting to know you, and I hope you like these photos as much as I do!

april 4: derek

So, I've been bad about blogging lately, but I wanted to share Derek's senior photos with you all! He's a senior at Consol this year, and he'll study at Texas A&M next fall.

Derek and I have lived across the street from each other for something like eight years now, so it was great to catch up while we took some photos.

Here are a handful of my favorites!

march 20: shilpa

Shilpa is just the best. She's a senior at Consol and editor-in-chief of The Roar newspaper, a paper that's really close to my heart. She's brilliant, an excellent leader, and knows more about Alexander Hamilton than anyone I know.

You rock, Shilpa. I hope you like these photos as much as I do!

march 19: sara

I met with Sara on Monday for her senior photo session. She and I have known each other for a long time--since we were both in band in middle school, at least. My sister Erica came along for the shoot too, since she and Sara are friends (and were roommates at band camp one year!), and the three of us had a great time.

Sara's full of smiles and fun, and I think that really shows in her photos.

Thanks so much, Sara! Can't wait for you to see the rest of these.
